From the Walls of ICON Performance…How to Squat 1000 lb Routine – 24 Week Program

** This is obviously a very advanced squat program for elite level squatters only. This routine is the one that was derived by through a combination of several training protocols. I squatted 1038 about four years ago with this EXACT same routine. (I am referring to a gym lift which was not contest legal, but close). I am posting this routine so that I can get feedback from other squatters and learn from their insight and experience with similar routines.
Week 1 – 295 + 2 Blue Bands – 5×5
Week 2 – 490×5, 540×3, 600×1, 750×1 Green Band Assisted
Week 3 – 335 + 2 Blue Bands – 5×4
Week 4 – 540×5, 590×3, 650×1, 800×1 Green Band Assisted
Week 5 – 365 + 2 Blue Bands – 5×3
Week 6 – 570×5, 630×3, 700×1, 850×1 Green Band Assisted
Week 7 – 415 + 2 Blue Bands – 5×2
Week 8 – 620×5, 680×3, 750×1, 900×1 Green Band Assisted
Week 9 – 505 + 2 Green Bands – 5×2
Week 10 – 650×5, 720×3, 800×1, 950×1 Green Band Assisted
Week 11 – 545 + 2 Green Bands – 5×2
Week 12 – 710×5, 780×3, 850×1, 1000×1 Green Band Assisted
Week 13 – 635 + 2 Purple Bands – 5×1
Week 14 – 730×5, 810×3, 900×1, 1050×1 Green Band Assisted
Week 15 – 675 + 2 Purple Bands – 5×1
Week 16 – 780×5, 860×3, 950×1, 1100×1 Green Band Assisted
Week 17 – 810 x 5
Week 18 – 975 x 1
Week 19 – 670 x 5
Week 20 – 835 x 1, 935 x 15 sec lockout
Week 21 – 740 x 5
Week 22 – 925 x 1, 1075 x 15 sec lockout
Week 23 – 805 x 5
Week 24 – 1000 x 1 !!!
